Digital Entertainment Subscriptions That Are Worth The Money

This one is a no-brainer. Oh, my dear Netflix, how could I live without you? You make me laugh, you make me cry and you help me to fall asleep every single night. If you haven't yet invested a mere $8 per month to enjoy endless amounts of movies, documentaries and TV shows, you're missing out! Not to mention, you can watch Netflix on virtually any internet connected device and even share one account with your whole family. The best subscription service there is, in my opinion!

Hulu Plus logo
People are always asking me "Why do you have Hulu Plus when you already have Netflix?" It's a fair question with a simple answer. For this additional $8 per month, I get to watch brand new TV episodes, the day they air. As you may know, Netflix makes you wait months (sometimes years) for your favorite shows, but Hulu Plus uploads new episodes instantly. It carries all hit shows from the best networks like ABC, FOX, Comedy Central, and more. With the limited time I have to watch TV, combined with the fact that there's never any room on our family's DVR (sorry, Mom and Dad, but it's true!) Hulu Plus is ideal for keeping up on my absolute favorite shows... and for discovering some new ones as well!

Spotify logo
Now, this is an awesome music streaming service that gives you access to thousands of songs! It allows you to interact with other users and to make/share playlists. And you wanna know the best part? It's free!!! Listen on your smartphone with shuffle mode or use the computer and play any song you want at any time you want! There's also an upgrade option where for $9.99 you can nix the annoying ads and even download the music to listen to offline. Spotify is a must for any music lover!

Oyster books logo
Oyster is basically the Netflix of e-books. Less than $10 per month grants you access to more than 500,000 digital books. The books are compatible with smart phones, tablets and reading devices. All you have to do is download and you're set! Plus, the monthly fee allows you to download and read as many books as you'd like. So, no need to finish a book in the amount of time the library gives you. Now, you can read at your own pace and enjoy book after book. A perfect service for the summertime!

Daily Burn logo
I must admit, I have yet to actually try Daily Burn. I have seen the commercials and advertisements and have been thinking about it for a few minutes now but just haven't pulled the trigger yet. But you know what, I'm going to! The most I look into it, the more awesome it is! Basically this lets you workout anywhere that you can steam videos from the internet. For $10 a month, you get access to thousands of workout videos by trained professionals. They can also customize workouts just for you! Let's be honest, this sounds a lot more exciting and less expensive than the treadmill at the gym.

Audible logo
I drive in my car a lot. With a boyfriend who lives almost 2 hours away, I'm constantly commuting back and forth on weekends and I know I'm not alone! But don't you ever get tired of listening to music on the car ride? Don't you ever want to do something that feels a bit more... productive? How about reading a book? Now you're saying "uhh, reading a book while driving is not really an option!" Well, it is now! Audible allows you to download audio books straight to your smart phone or tablet. With over 150,000 titles to choose from, you can multi-task and enjoy your drive even more! This is also a great option for when you're walking, or relaxing outside on a beautiful day. $14.95 per month will get you one audio book of your choosing; I'd say for the convenience and enjoyment you'll hopefully get out of it, it's well worth the money!
