I'll be honest here- every year I try to top the previous years' gifts to my loved ones. Each gift doesn't have to be bigger and better, but it does have to be extra unique and even more thoughtful. #GiftGuide: For the Coffee Lover in Your Life!

As part of my December #GiftGuide post series, I bring you this perfect gift for any coffee or tea lover in your life!
Check out this mug warmer from Mr. Coffee. It's basically a small hot plate that plugs right into any outlet and keeps any drink hot! This is a great gift for a guy (because we all know how tough it is to shop for them,) a co-worker, a bookworm, and everyone in between.

I love finding inexpensive, unique and practical gift ideas- this definitely hits all three of those categories! My Dad received this warmer for Christmas last year and uses it every single day at our kitchen table! So I can speak by experience when I say it's well worth it and will totally be a gift that keeps on giving.

Not to mention, this brand only costs $9.99 at Bed, Bath and Beyond! With a price like that, you can use it as a main gift or even a stocking stuffer. Not a fan of the Mr. Coffee brand? Just search "beverage warmer" on Amazon for all different kinds and prices!

What unique gifts are you buying this year!?

My New Travel Hack: The Display Makeup Bag

I'm constantly packing up my bags and traveling out of town on weekends. Between going to my boyfriend's house (who lives 1.5 hours away,) visiting my college friends and making special occasion trips, I'm all over the place. And with me always comes my cosmetics bag. Unfortunately, the bag is like a bottomless pit and I'm always having to dig and dump my way through a makeup application... which usually leads to broken and lost products, as well as a huge mess!

Now, you know that I LOVE finding solutions to my every day problems so TA-DA! I present to you the Display Bag!
This practical and convenient makeup bag allows you to open the draw string top and lay the contents out on display. Then when you're done, just pinch the corners and slide your makeup back in the pouch! The nylon fabric is durable and is pretty resistant to makeup stains and marks too. You could also use this bag for other things like a first aid kit or craft supplies.

I think this is a great idea and I'd love to see more colors, patterns and sizes in this bag. While this small version the perfect size for an overnight trip, I'd love a larger pouch to really hold ALL of my cosmetics! But I think this navy, palm-sized Display Bag is just the beginning of a great line of products!

So if you want to buy your own (or purchase a Display Bag as a Christmas gift) head over to http://www.displaycorp.us/category-s/1821.htm!

Do you have a go-to cosmetic bag for travel?!

What's Inside: Staying Winter Radiant with my #ModaVoxBox

My most recently package from Influenster included the ModaVoxBox. It included so many awesome items to help keep my radiant and happy all winter long! Check out some of the awesome new items I discovered:

Rimmel London:
I love finding new, high-quality, affordable makeup so I was excited to try out some different products from Rimmel London. I was certainly not disappointed. The Scandaleyes Rockin' Curves Mascara is a non-clumpy formula that really made my lashes pop. The brush is shaped so uniquely so it allows you to coat and separate every lash for maximum volume. Moving onto the lips, I tried out the Moisture Renew Lip Liner, a clear line that moisturized and provides a smooth base for the Moisture Renew Lipstick. I loved the lipstick color they sent and when applied over top of the liner, it stayed even and vibrant!

Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer:
Dry skin can be painful and uncomfortable, especially in the dry winter weather. So a good moisturizer that both prevents and heals damaged skin, is so important. Jergens is a trusted lotion brand and the Ultra Healing line seals in the hydration for 48 hours after application. In fact, Jergens claims that you'll see healthier, softer skin in just 1 week! I've been keeping this little guy in my purse at all times.

Hair Food Moisture Hair Mask:
Damaged hair can happen so easily. When each strand is exposed to different weather conditions, constant brushing and everyday heat, it can become broken, dry and unhealthy. So thank goodness for hair treatments like this one. Clairol's new hair mask is easy-to-use; in the shower, it moisturizes and conditions your whole head, leaving you with smooth and healthy hair!

Puff's SoftPack:
Puff's plus is my go-to tissue brand. It's been around for years and has helped me through many allergy seasons, winter colds, and of course, sad movies! But now Puff's has a soft pack that is lightweight and convenient. I can stuff it into a duffel bag, throw it in my purse, or keep it in my car! Softness inside and out!

Swiss Miss Simply Cocoa:
Mmmm, there are few things better than hot cocoa on a chilly day. And this Swiss Miss brand is everything you would expect from a drink that brings back memories of snow days as a kid. It's simple, made with only 5 ingredients and no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. Just add hot milk and this warm, chocolatey drink will take away all your winter blues!

Resource Spring Water:
I had never heard of Resource Spring Water before receiving a bottle in my VoxBox. But I was glad to learn that it's 100% natural spring water with naturally occurring electrolytes. It tasted clean, crisp and refreshing. And even better, the large bottle is made with 50% recycled plastic and is 100% recyclable!

What supplies do you use to get through the harsh winter weather?

*I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. All opinions and photos are my own.

5 New Shows I'm Watching This Fall

I absolutely love spending my down-time relaxing with a great television show. But, there are so many different kinds on tv these days and it's hard to sift through until you find what you like. So, check out what new shows I'm watching this Fall and find a good show for you without wasting precious relaxation time!

How to Get Away with Murder:
If you're a fan of Grey's Anatomy and/or Scandal then you'll know what kind of riveting roller coaster you'll be for with this brand new Shonda Rhimes (the creator of both Grey's and Scandal) drama. The shows follows 5 law students as they work for their professor and highly-sought-after defense attorney (played by the amazing Viola Davis.) For the most part, each episode focuses on a new defense case, but also gives you clues to an even bigger story that breaks throughout the season. Every episode will have you on the edge of your seat! The is definitely my Fall Favorite!

GracePoint:

Though it's still in the first few episodes of the season, I've really started to like this mysterious drama. The plot surrounds the suspicious death of a young boy and the detectives (played by David Tennet of Dr Who, and XX from Breaking Bad) that try to piece together clues. Each episode reveals more about the murder and will have you piecing together puzzles and hints to find the real culprit! This show is definitely slower than How to Get Away With Murder but so far has a pretty solid plot and great actors.

Selfie:
In the 2014 age of social media, this sitcom is fits right in. It's about a girl who's entire life revolves around her virtual presence, until she finally realizes that she has no real friends or live social skills. So of course, she hires a Marketing Executive from her company to help re-brand her and her life! This show is light-hearted, funny and entertaining for viewers of any age. So happy that I gave this show a try.

Gotham:
I planned to skip this show at first, since I'm not big into comics or the Batman story-line. But after hearing great things from a co-worker of mine, I decided to give it a shot. While I'm sure the plot-line would be all the more compelling if you're a fan of the comic books, it's definitely not necessary! I've had no problems keeping up with the story-line and it's characters. This show has a great mix of action, drama and mystery that keeps each episode interesting and, usually, pretty shocking!

American Horror Story:

Although I haven't watching American Horror Story since the first season at the "Murder House," I had to add the newest season of Freak Show to this list. First, let me warn you that this show is certainly not for the faint of heart. With violence, horror and a strong sexual undertone, this show can be a bit much for many viewers. That being said, if you're looking for a show that's going to keep you on the edge of your seat week after week, this would be that show! Not to mention, the cast is full of people (such as Amazon Jane and Paul the Illustrated Seal) who have lived their whole lives being called freaks, and now they are getting the spotlight the recognition they deserve! Go check out American Horror Story's Facebook page for some Actor Spotlights that are pretty incredible!

Create Last-Minute (and inexpensive) Halloween Ambiance

Whether you're throwing a costume bash, preparing for trick or treaters or just a big fan of the holiday, there are lots of easy and inexpensive things you can do to ensure your Halloween decorations create a great, seasonal atmosphere. Check out a few of my favorite ways to create some last-minute Halloween ambiance and set the spooky mood:

We added cobwebs to the outside of the house which made it look totally spooky!
Cobwebs & Spiders:
A pack of Halloween cobwebs with plastic spiders is so inexpensive! You can pull, rip, and twist the material to fit any shape or size! Not to mention, a little goes a LONG way!

I love our amazing mantle that my dad put together. A glowing jack-o-lantern & skeleton lights!
Fun Lighting:
Lighting always adds great ambiance to any room or to the outside of your house. Whether it's a sting of light-up skeletons, strobe lights or black lights, you can usually find spooky lighting for cheap. Plus, it should last you throughout the next couple of years!

DIY Creepy Portraits:
This is by far my absolute favorite decoration that always scares at least a few party-goers. Just Google something like "creepy portraits" and print out your favorites. Then replace your picture frames around the house with these! I guarantee you that people will stop to look at your family photos, only to jump back in surprise!

Halloween Playlist:
Music is a must for this season! So playing some themed tunes in the background will definitely set the mood. Lucky for you, I created a Halloween Playlist last year for exactly this reason. So check out my post with the playlist and enjoy some spooktacular classics!

DIY Tissue Ghosts:
This is one of the easiest and cutest Halloween decorations. Plus, it's a perfect activity to do with kids! Just ball up a tissue (or use a lollipop if you want to give these out as goodies) and drape another tissue over the ball. Secure with a string, draw some eyes and voila- you've got a ghost that you can hang from the ceiling! Can't get much cheaper or easier than that!

Isn't our candy dish so creepy?! He makes noises and moves his eyes too!
Candy!
When in doubt, just make sure you have a lot of candy! At Halloween, sweets and treats are definitely people-pleasers, so a bowl with a wide variety will ensure that you're guests leave happy and in the Halloween spirit!

How do you celebrate Halloween?
